A sea fishing charter boat trip with Nauti Boat Charters enables you to go on a sea fishing trip straight to where the best fish are! Knowledgeable skippers who are also experienced sea fishing anglers coupled with a fast but stable boat gets you to the best sea fishing marks and wrecks quickly, safely and comfortably. One of our charter boats has been built from scratch to make provision for disabled anglers including wheelchair users who can drive or wheel themselves on to the charter boat.
On your charter boat fishing trip the latest navigation and fish finding equipment enables our experienced skippers to position you and you fellow sea fishing anglers right over the wrecks (and fish!). A fast charter boat enables you to get out to the best or furthest marks quickly and spend more time with your line in the water, which is the only time of course you will catch fish. Saving at times an hour or more in traveling time really does add to your catch of fish for the day. All our charter boats are suitably quick for the fishing trips that they carry out and above all seaworthy and MCA coded.
Fishing tackle is available for hire or to buy too. If you are new to sea fishing and charter boat fishing generally you can experiment with different types of equipment without having to run to the expense of buying your own. For sea fishing anglers with their own equipment we carry spares for when you lose that critical bit kit or forget to bring something along on your sea fishing trip.
The correct bait for sea fishing is very important. We have close contacts with local suppliers that can provide everything from live sand eels through to peeler crab and of course rag or lug depending on requirements. Bait is frequently dug or collected directly for us by local suppliers to ensure you have the absolute best quality available. Frozen bait in the form of squid or cuttle can all be on board ready for your trip and preference. Pre ordering is essential of course and our skippers can advise you what the most likely source of catch is going to be. If you are hiring a rod for the day it will include standard bait for the day.
We do all kinds of boat fishing. Wreck fishing, Bass fishing, Conger fishing, Ground fishing and fishing for Bream or flat fish too. Plaice fishing in the summer is superb and those and the bream are actually our favourite table fish here!
Operating out of Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth Harbour means you have safe and secure parking all day. We also operate out of Langstone Harbour and some other South coast locations. If you are coming down by car to Portsmouth our main departure point the train and bus stations are literally a couple of minutes walk around the corner. Over 90 shops and 30 first class restaurants and bars means there is plenty of time for "Après fishing" for a pint or a meal out.
Alternative meeting points for your sea fishing trip can also be arranged out of Langstone Harbour, Gosport, Southampton or the Isle of Wight along with other venues please discuss with us should you have a particular location in mind. Through our partners we can offer departures from Weymouth, Brighton, Dover and Eastbourne too.
Our charter boats are fully MCA coded and have all the required safety gear and lifejackets on board for your peace of mind and safety. Most charter boats are coded to Cat 4 for 60 miles from safe haven at night.
Species of fish that you can fish for vary depending on season. Cod, Bass and Bream are particularly popular targets and they provide first class eating afterwards too. Short duration trips might target mackerel in the summer or bream to ensure a higher chance of catching something from the various Solent marks. The Cod fishing this year is excellent with many large specimens being landed already this year.
Sea fishing charter groups by the charter boat can be catered for or alternatively so can smaller groups or individuals on a shared charter boat. Charter boat fishing is available for individuals wishing to share the charter boat on the day should contact us for available dates times and places. If there is a particular type of fishing trip you want to do if you are a group booking just let the skipper know and he will know where the best marks are for that species. Individual places on charter boats can normally be slotted into a boat that is carrying out the type of fishing trip that you want to enjoy.
We operate a strict policy of only taking legal fish both on size, location and season. Where possible we like to return special and rare fish back to the water. There is no pressure however to put your regular fish back in though. You caught it and we are big believers in sustainable fishing and that includes taking home your catch to eat. If you catch but do not wish to take good table fish home with you they are normally given to local charitable organisations or sometimes disabled or elderly people locally. We do not sell it on we simply give it away to them as a charitable excercise for the elderly and disabled who like a bit of fresh fish from time to time but many simply cannot affort it these days. We are committed to encouraging sustainable fishing and believe that line fishing for your own supper is a first class way of helping to achieve this.
Prices vary slightly according to season and day of the week please contact us for the availability and price. You can enquire by sending a message from the link on the left about availability and prices or call the lead skipper Paul on 02392 984090
Sea fishing charter boats enable you to get out to where the big fish are! Our main sea fishing charter boats are exceptional and unique in that not only do they have two of the biggest and most powerful engines on it but it can also take disabled passengers too even if they are in wheelchairs. A large power catamaran is not only a fast boat but is a very stable platform with a sea kindly motion even in rough and choppy seas. For smaller charter boat parties we have other mono hulled fishing charter boats available. Prices range from £500. per boat to £700. per boat depending on what kind of fishing you wish to do (ground fishing, wreck fishing or specialist bass fishing for example) and the time of year. A full days fishing (typcially 08:00 to 16:30 (For up to ten anglers) and individual places are normally about £60. per person.
Half days or night fishing is also available on selected dates. Bait and tackle hire or purchase is extra and of course vary in price. Frozen squid remains one of the best baits still and is readily available. Rod and reel hire is just £10. per day if you don't have your own sea fishing tackle. When wreck or foul ground fishing there may be a supplementary charge for end tackle due to the significantly higher tackle losses on those types of trip. There may be a small bait surcharge too if using specialised bait such as live sandeels for Bass fishing.
Our skippers are very knowledgeable about the best sea fishing marks and can offer tips and tricks on what to fish for and what kinds of tackle are best to use. Our boats have good quality tackle for hire too so even if you don't have your own kit or normally go fishing you can still easily hire our tackle and go for that prize catch.
