• Wreck Fishing

wreck fishing for codWreck fishing with Nauti boat charters enables you to get over the bigger fish such as Cod, Pollock and Congers!

There are two main ways to fish a wreck we can anchor uptide and drop back over the wreck and use bait or pirks and lures to catch the fish.

The other method is to drift over the wreck repeatedly. This relies on precise navigation from and experienced skipper but it can yield great results when the wreck is too deep to easily anchor over.

  • Drift Fishing

    drift fishing by charter boat

Drift fishing is a popular fishing method and we target Plaice, Brill, Bass and even large rays using this technique.

On the smaller neap tides where the speed is less than about two knots if the bottom type is known to be the right kind of bank with few snags then drift fishing becomes and option.

As the name implies we don't drop the anchor but simply go uptide of the area we are going to drift and then we drift downtide covering more ground than possible by simply anchoring. Lighter tackle tends to be used whilst drift fishing and as the fish bite some line is given before it's Fish On!
